The American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), a national association of experienced trial lawyers and judges, is seeking a marketing and communications manager. ABOTA and its members are dedicated to preserving and promoting the civil jury trial right provided by the 7th Amendment to the United States Constitution.
Duties
Key responsibilities include:

Overseeing branding, messaging, and public relations for ABOTA

Editing and publishing magazines, brochures, newsletters, and digital content
-
Managing website updates, social media campaigns, and digital outreach
-
Developing marketing materials, press releases, and event communications
-
Managing freelance writers, designers, and external service providers
Qualifications
Education & Experience
-
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field
-
Seven years' experience in publishing, marketing, and digital content development, preferably in a professional or trade association
-
Proven experience in developing web content and managing digital platforms
-
Preferred background in a legal bar, nonprofit, or association setting
-
Experience in managing email marketing campaigns and digital outreach
Skills & Abilities

Strong knowledge of Adobe Suite, CMS platforms, database management, and marketing tools

Ability to oversee campaigns, budgets, and content strategies effectively
-
Strong writing, editing, and verbal skills for clear and compelling messaging
-
Strong ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and content consistency
-
Experience working with diverse teams, volunteers, vendors, and stakeholders
