Scholarship Opportunities for Students & Graduates:

Students and graduates are eligible for the following scholarship opportunities:

The Queen's Bench Law Preview Scholarship provides an attendee who is entering their first year of law school in Fall 2025 an opportunity to participate in BARBRI's Law Preview program. The Law Preview program is a virtual summer boot camp that provides incoming first-year law students (or "1Ls") with the tools necessary to navigate their first year of law school.  More information on the Law Preview Scholarship is available here.

The GILL Full Circle Bar Prep Scholarship (or Full Circle Scholarship) provides a graduating law student or a law graduate with a BARBRI Firm Pass Plus course package. The Firm Pass Plus package includes a bar prep course from BARBRI, individual tutoring for the essay and multiple-choice sections of the bar exam, access to both Critical Pass and Adaptibar courses, and more -- providing tools to support preparation for the bar exam and entry into the legal profession. Eligibility requirements for these scholarships are as follows:

  • Registration & Attendance: 
  • You must register for and attend GILL 2025; and either
  • Enroll in law school by Fall 2025 (if applying for the Law Preview Scholarship); or
  • Sit for a July 2025, February 2026, or July 2026 bar exam in any U.S. jurisdiction (California preferred) (if applying for the Full Circle Scholarship).
  • Connection to the Bay Area: You must have ties to the San Francisco Bay Area (i.e., currently live, attend school, and/or work in any of the 9 Bay Area counties - Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, or Sonoma).
  • Application: You must submit an application after completing your GILL 2025 registration no later than Friday, February 21, 2025, at 11:59 PM
  • Provide a LinkedIn profile or resume (reflecting current activities, leadership roles, and awards); and
Answer the following short answer questions:
  • Interests: Describe the practice area(s) you are currently interested in and why.
  • International Women’s Day: The 2025 theme for International Women’s Day is “Accelerate Action,” emphasizing the urgency of advancing gender equity by fostering education, challenging biases, empowering women economically, and driving systemic change to create a more inclusive and equitable world. Based on this theme, answer one of the following short answer questions:
    • Personal Impact and Advocacy: Queen’s Bench champions leaders who advocate to change the status quo to advance gender equity.Describe a time when you challenged a stereotype, bias, or the norm. What lessons did you learn, and how did the experience shape your commitment to advancing gender equity?
    • Education and Leadership: Apple provides a great example of the ways in which education, innovation, and leadership can promote change. How have you used—or plan to use—your education, ideas, and/or leadership skills to inspire change or uplift others?
    • Innovative Solutions and Global Impact: Local bar associations  regularly work in their communities to address issues that affect women’s lives.Describe a law, regulation, rule, practice, or tradition that has impacted people in your community based on gender. What steps would you take to address (if a concern) or promote (if a benefit) it?
